I WAS pleased Eoin Morgan spoke of the importance of having some of the new T20 tournament on free-to-air TV.
But if we are going to get more people talking about cricket, it’s important coverage isn’t limited to Sky’s crumbs.
Tests, ODIs, Sunday League and KO cups were once all on the BBC. Cricket was always in the public eye, certainly not just in Ashes years.
We can’t turn back the clock but, given how much international players get, longsuffering followers of the English game need to be prioritised to a greater extent.
