CHEDWORTH records were hit for six last weekend as skipper Jamie Lait smashed an unbeaten 259 – the highest individual score from anyone in Gloucestershire this summer.
The 25-year-old, in his first season as captain, hit 27 fours and 17 sixes to dominate Chedworth’s total of 360-4 and also set a club record score.
“It was a day you dream of. Looking back, I’m not even sure how it all happened,” said Lait, whose side then skittled Hatherley & Reddings for 99.
