Appleby & Eden inally restored

A WHOPPING 20 months since Storm Desmond ripped through Appleby and Eden, the club is finally being restored.
With a mixture of the ECB, Sport England and insurers funding the £800,000 project, vice chairman Ernest Brabbins is relieved to be ending the upheaval – although the club still will not usable until next April.
Cricketers have been playing 20 minutes away in Culgaith near Penrith ever since flood water from Storm Desmond damaged both the pavilion and the pitch.
