Wrist injury forces Scot Machan to cut short career

SCOTLAND batsman Matt Machan has been forced to retire at the age of 26 because of a wrist injury.
Machan made his international debut in 2013 going on to play 23 ODIs as well as 13 T20 matches and he featured for Scotland at the 2015 World Cup and the World Twenty20 in 2016.
He has been with Sussex since the age of ten and made 44 first-class appearances where he scored over 2,000 runs with a career-best score of 192 coming against Somerset at Taunton in 2015.
