STUART BROAD insists he has no fears over his fitness for this winter’s Ashes despite being forced to sit out the remainder of Nottinghamshire’s season with the heel injury that has troubled him all summer.
Broad will miss his county’s remaining two Championship matches as a precaution after aggravating the bruised fat pad on his left heel by tripping on the pavilion steps on the first day of the final Test against West Indies last week.
