ECKINGTON captain Tom Dawson admits emotions were running high in his final match as skipper after 16 years.
Dawson was just 17 years old when he took on the lead role for the Derbyshire-based side who were marooned in the bottom tier.
But three promotions later and the 33-year-old has helped lead the side into the Premier League and Dawson looks back with massive pride at the achievement.
He said: “Getting to the Premier League in 2012 was the biggest achievement. We had never played in the ECB Premier League before and considering where we were when I took over.
