Woodward celebrates his 50

LIFTING the league title and being your club’s leading wicket-taker was the perfect way for Martin Woodward to bring up his 50th season at Droitwich Spa.
Woodward joined the Worcestershire-based club in 1967 and still holds the record for the highest number of runs scored in a single season, 1,450, which he amassed in 1976.
His 50th campaign was also a fine one as he helped steer the second XI to the Worcestershire League Division Two title, taking 46 wickets in the process.
