RAVICHANDRAN Ashwin and India rewrote the record books after demolishing Sri Lanka by an innings and 239 runs to take an unassailable 1-0 lead in their Test series in Nagpur.
Ashwin’s eight wickets in the match meant the offspinner became the fastest to 300 wickets, in his 54th Test, beating Dennis Lillee’s mark.
