ANOTHER excuse that people have used for England being outclassed in the Ashes is that the County Championship isn’t strong enough.
And while I agree there could be changes, I still think there is a lot of talent out there and England will improve – both at home and away.
I’d still like to see three divisions, with two up and two down. With less on the line to play for at the moment, we see too many teams playing it safe. They know a score of 400 will always put them in a good position, so they take their time and grind their way forward.
