Crane unlucky to miss out says NSW coach who gave him chance

MASON CRANE is capable of showing England that they should have taken a chance on him far sooner if he’s handed a first Test cap in Sydney this week.
That’s the view of Trent Johnston, the New South Wales coach who made Crane the first overseas player for the state since Imran Khan in 1984/85.
Crane has been overlooked for the opening four Tests of the series, despite the struggles of Moeen Ali, who has been comprehensively out-bowled by Nathan Lyon.
