Many cricket clubs talk of a ‘golden generation’ somewhere in their history, be it the Twenties, Sixties or Seventies, but for West Leeds outfit New Farnley that time is now.
The club was established in 1952 and until recently major honours had always escaped them, until the Yorkshire club beat Hoylandswaine to claim the Heavy Woollen Cup in 2016.
