TRENT BRIDGE will not host an Ashes Test in 2023 and former England captain Michael Vaughan is “staggered”.
The Nottinghamshire ground, where Australia have failed to win since 2001 and tasted victory just seven times in 22 Tests, was not chosen for the future series with the five games being held at Lord’s, the Oval, Edgbaston and Old Trafford.
That’s the same as will be in 2019, and Vaughan, who led England to a famous Ashes win in 2005, believes there’s more to the selection process than the on-field action.
