Lamb’s looking to cook up a new role

MATT LAMB forced his way into the Warwickshire side last summer as an aggressive middle order batsman. He’s spent his winter working on his bowling though as he seeks to stake a claim as an all-rounder this year.
Lamb came through the Birmingham leagues to become a regular in the Bears’ Championship side in the second half of 2017, notching up two halfcenturies in consecutive games against Middlesex.
It earned him a one-year contract extension as Ashley Giles placed youth at the centre of his rebuilding programme.
