ALASTAIR COOK has branded Michael Vaughan’s criticism of Stuart Broad “irritating” and “unfair” following a week that saw England claim their first Test victory in eight months.
Joe Root’s side beat Pakistan by an innings at Headingley to help erase memories of their embarrassing defeat to the same opposition at Lord’s a week earlier and a winless winter in Australia and New Zealand that saw them lose five out of seven Tests.
