EARLIER this year, Jakob Bhula briefly wrote himself into the international record books – and now he’s making a splash in the Middlesex Premier Division. In January, the 18-year-old batsman cracked 180 off 144 balls to record the highest score ever seen in the U19 World Cup.
Ironically, however, that score was beaten by Sri Lanka’s Hasitha Boyagoda (191) just days later in the tournament that was eventually won by India.
