Jones holds nerve as Bristol edge home in style

BRISTOL had a pro and an amateur to thank for their derby victory over Bedminster last weekend as Will Tavare set them up and Dan Jones got them over the line.
Gloucestershire opener Tavare – nephew of former England opener Chris – provided the foundation of their chase following Bedminster’s below par first innings effort of 160 all out.
However, with former Gloucestershire all-rounder Mark Alleyne (3-33) and Adrian Neill (4-28) chipping away with regular wickets for visitors Bedminster, the result was always in doubt.
