DURHAM’S incoming director of cricket Marcus North is excited by the challenges that be faces on his return to the club.
The former Australian international is succeeding Geoff Cook who will leave at the end of the season following a 28-year association with the club.
North, 39, who lives in the north-east and has spent the last three years as chief executive at South Northumberland Cricket Club, will start his new role on October 1.
