LEICESTERSHIRE captain Paul Horton was a proud man after guiding his side to an impressive victory over one of the Second Division promotion favourites.
Some outstanding individual performances, notably by seamer Tom Taylor, and then calm batting on the final day enabled the Foxes to win at Hove for the first time since 1995.
Horton’s composed 61, as Leicestershire made light work of a tricky target of 230, was crucial, but the 36-year-old says victory meant more than personal achievements.
