ROSS Taylor made an immediate impact at Middlesex with a controlled half-century on debut to rescue his side from the doldrums against rivals Surrey.
The New Zealander is available to Middlesex for six group matches before he joins New Zealand for the World Cup and he made an impression straight away at The Oval with a measured 64 from 78 balls.
