SAM CURRAN played a starring role as Chennai Super Kings stunned defending champions Mumbai Indians in last night’s IPL opener. The England youngster smashed 18 crucial tailend runs in just six balls as the Super Kings chased down Mumbai’s 162-9 with four balls to spare.
Curran also took the key wicket of Quinton de Kock (33) as the Indians, put into bat, raced away to a fast start.
