PAUL Nixon hailed his side’s grit after Leicestershire Foxes reached the quarter-finals for the first time since 2017 with a 22-run win over Lancashire Lightning. The head coach was left purring as captain Colin Ackermann steered his men to a last-eight date with Notts Outlaws thanks to a brilliant display with the ball and some handy runs with the bat.
