EVERGEEN spinner Lee Crozier expressed delight at creating a ‘legacy’ after becoming South Northumberland’s highest ever league wicket-taker.
Crozier dismissed Eppleton captain Dean Musther in a 35-run victory on May 1 to claim his 630th scalp for the Gosforth-based outfit, moving past John Bradford in the all-time list.
Having had to be patient in reaching the landmark, with last season’s wickets in a regionalised ‘bubble’ competition not counting towards his total, Crozier feels it has been worth the wait.
