NOTTS seam bowler Harry Gurney is planning a new career in business after being forced to retire from first-class cricket following his failure to make a full recovery from a shoulder injury.
Gurney, 34, missed all of the club’s T20 matches last season due to the problem.
“The time has arrived for me to hang up my boots,” said Gurney, who took 614 wickets during his career.
