County spell has served Root so well

ENGLAND captain Joe Root is confident his spell in the County Championship has set him up perfectly for a summer of international cricket.
Root scored a total of 291 runs in five matches for Yorkshire– including a fine hundred against Kent and 99 against Glamorgan.

He said: “You always look forward to whatever the next cricket is coming around. For me, that will be those Test Matches.
