A TRADEMARK swashbuckling innings of 154 from 90 balls was just another day at the office for Dan Birch as he propelled Marehay to victory over Langley Mill United.
The former Derbyshire batsman smacked 14 fours and 12 sixes for his second century of the season in the Derbyshire Premier Division as his side posted 279 against Samit Patel’s hosts.
Dangerous ex-England international Patel was then removed cheaply (7) in the reply as Langley Mill were bowled out for 171, giving Marehay a comfortable 108-run win.
