ENGLAND have recalled Chris Woakes to their Twenty20 set-up for the first time in five years after he was the named in a 16-man squad for the upcoming three-match series against Sri Lanka.
Woakes, whose last T20 international came against Pakistan in Sharjah in November 2015, was one of five Indian Premier League players rested by England for the ongoing Test series against New Zealand.
But the Warwickshire all-rounder will be back in action for the three T20s that start in Cardiff on Wednesday week alongside Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler and Sam Curran.
