SAMIT Patel wrote his name in English T20 history as he helped Nottinghamshire squeak past Derbyshire by two runs for a much-needed Blast success.
The experienced all-arounder hammered an unbeaten 64 off just 32 deliveries to dig the Outlaws out of a hole, before chipping in with two wickets in the match which was reduced to 15 overs a side.
In doing so, Patel became the first English player to complete the double of 250 wickets and 5,000 runs in T20 cricket.
