LIZELLE Lee smashed 75 off 52 balls to help South Africa rally to a 50-run win over hosts West Indies in the second T20I in Antigua.
Lee guided the Proteas to 165-3 before bowling contributions from Marizanne Kapp (3-31) and Ayabonga Khaka (2-8) restricted West Indies to 115-8 and opened up a 1-0 series lead.
Lee and Dane van Niekerk gave South Africa a fast start, putting up a 53- run opening stand before Qiana Joseph removed the latter in the seventh over.
But Lee continued on, partnering with Kapp for a 69-run stand – Lee bringing up up her fifty off 39 balls.
