TIM Murtagh looks certain to extend his Middlesex career into a 15th season after continuing his impressive start to his spell as captain.
Former director of Cricket Angus Fraser says he has a verbal agreement with the 40-year-old seamer on a new contract after Murtagh guided Middlesex to a third successive win since taking over from Peter Handscomb.
Murtagh said: “I will have a conversation with Gus over a nice glass of red wine once the season is done. I’m enjoying my cricket and the captaincy as they are a great bunch of lads to take out on the field. ...
