Australia cricket legend Shane Warne dies aged 52

Legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne has died at the age of 52 after suffering a suspected heart attack in Thailand.


Fox said that Warne’s management released a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday (AEDT), that he passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement reads.

“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Warne took 708 Test wickets in his career and is regarded as the greatest wrist spinner to ever play the game.

A figure who transcended the sport and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to ever grace a cricketing field.

The dreadful news follows earlier news that Rod Marsh had also passed away at the age of 74.
