Pudsey reach for the stars

Pudsey St Lawrence held their Past Players’ Day on a scorching day at Tofts Road as they took on Methley in the Bradford Premier League.
Players from several eras of the club’s history enjoyed the annual reunion and the summer weather, but less so the on-field result as the Saints failed to defend their total of 267-7, with Methley getting home by three wickets.
Yasir Ali was a thorn in Pudsey’s side all day, picking up 3-53 before hitting a composed 77 from 109 balls to help see the visitors to victory. He was supported by 67 from Jake Smart and 55 from Josh Sullivan.
