KIBWORTH have gone top of the Leicestershire and Rutland League after winning their top-of-the-table clash with Rothley by 18 runs.
Matthew Bashford’s 6-27 and an unbeaten 82 from Northants man Josh Cobb proved the difference between the sides on a relatively low-scoring day at Rothley.
Batting first, Kibworth were dismissed for just 129 with Dieter Klein (4-35) and Harry Funnell (315) doing the bulk of the damage for Rothley.
