When Luke Wood isn’t bustling in with the new ball and curving it devilishly to trouble top-order batters, he’s busy clocking up air miles.
Shortly before finishing as a runner-up with Lancashire in the Blast last season, he was called up to England’s ODI squad for the tour to the Netherlands.
And while he didn’t play a game, he did return with a winner’s medal from the T20 World Cup in Australia as a travelling reserve and later turned in a player-of-the-match performance on his T20I debut to seal England’s first win in Pakistan in 17 years.
