BANGLADESH snuck past a much-changed India in the last Super Fours match of the Asia Cup. Bangladesh themselves made five changes but it was an old faithful, Shakib al Hasan, whose batting was the cornerstone of the victory.
Put into bat, Bangladesh were struggling at 59 for 4 but Shakib’s sparkling 80 and a half century from Towhid Hridoy saw them post a competitive 265 for 8. At one point in the innings, the rested Virat Kohli came sprinting onto the pitch carrying drinks for his teammates.
