SANDERSTEAD WON a thrilling match against Hampton Hill in Division Four of the Surrey Championship after a tenth-wicket stand of 74 between John Devaney and Dan Carey.
Devaney hit an unbeaten 74 from 80 balls at number seven and was ably supported by Carey who finished 15 not out from 41 as Sanderstead recovered from 116-9 to miraculously chase down their target of 190 in the 45th over.
