Legend Anderson bows out in style

There was not a dry eye in the house as Jimmy Anderson signed off from England duty, reluctantly perhaps, with a typically skilful spell of bowling at Lord’s to help his country overcome the West Indies by an innings and 114 runs before lunch on the third day of the first Test at Lord’s.
An easy win it may have been, with debutants and Surrey teammates Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson – named Player of the Match for his 12 wickets – allowing England fans to look forward with confidence as well as back with pride.
