Disability cricket shines at Lord’s with hopefully more to come

It was not, to many minds, the most prestigious day of the Lord’s summer. In fact, there was no jostling for position on the Pavilion benches, and the fanfare was minimal for the inaugural disability cricket showcase event.
But by evening, under the bluest of skies and with sunshine baking all those present, it was difficult to conclude anything other than that the most important day’s cricket of them all had just finished. Undoubtedly, it had been the most wholesome.
