Afghanistan v New Zealand Test abandoned without a ball bowled

THE one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand was called off without a ball being bowled in only the eighth such instance in history.
It is the first time it has happened in 26 years.
The match was played at a neutral venue in Greater Noida, India, that last hosted international cricket back in 2020.
Days one and two saw no play despite sunny conditions as the ground’s drainage had been overwhelmed by previous heavy rainfall.
