Ealing take Middlesex crown on tense final day

WITH THREE matches in the league abandoned due to rain, the fate of the Middlesex League title could have been out of the title contenders’ hands, but top three Crouch End, Ealing and Shepherds Bush managed to get games in to give the season the finish it deserved.
Ealing went into the final match in second place, but a five-wicket win over North Middlesex combined with the result between third place Shepherds Bush and top of the table Crouch End secured them the title.
