It’s been a bad week for Somerset, who lost in the final of the T20 Blast before falling out of contention for the County Championship.
They were comfortably beaten by West Country rivals Gloucestershire in the Blast, missing out on the chance to become the first county to win back-to-back T20 titles.
Their hopes of claiming a long-awaited County Championship trophy were then dashed when they were beaten by Lancashire and reigning champions Surrey defeated Durham at The Oval.
Last chance of silverware
And so, having dreamt of a historic treble, Somerset now have only one piece of silverware...
