At a raucous Edgbaston, Gloucestershire claimed West Country bragging rights with a stirring and far-reaching eight-wicket win over last year’s winners, Somerset. It was just the club’s second piece of silverware in 20 seasons since their heyday as white-ball trailblazers under Mark Alleyne’s captaincy and now, with Alleyne returned as head coach, the club pulled off another remarkable heist.
