Bancroft claims are denied by bowlers

THE Australian bowlers who played in the infamous sandpaper Test against South Africa in 2018 have insisted they had no knowledge of plans to tamper with the ball.
Batsman Cameron Bancroft, who was banned for his part on the incident, is facing a fresh probe after hinting some of his teammates knew of the tampering plan, revealing, “It’s probably self-explanatory”.
But a statement issued by the four bowlers who played in the game, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon, has made it clear they were not aware of the plans.
