SCOTT BORTHWICK believes that Durham are back on track as a competitive county despite their 58-run defeat to Glamorgan in the Royal London Cup.
For Durham it was a first 50-over final since 2014, and they were well beaten by Kiran Carlson’s men at Trent Bridge with Glamorgan claiming their first white-ball trophy in 17 years.
Borthwick, however, is optimistic about the future of the county in all formats after an underwhelming five-year period that followed being sanctioned and relegated by the England and Wales Cricket Board due to their financial issues.
