Harry Brook’s appointment as England’s new white-ball captain was the obvious call.
There had been speculation that they could bring someone in from outside the group, such as Sam Billings or James Vince to lead the side, but the decision was telegraphed when Brook pulled out of the IPL last month.
I think he’s the right man for the job.
There has been some concern about Brook’s workload given that he plays for England in all three formats, and further down the line that could potentially become an issue.
