Amir and Zampa can get Eagles soaring

HEAD COACH Anthony McGrath reckons Essex will have one of the most dangerous bowling attacks in the Vitality Blast this year after luring back Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir to the club.
The 26-year-old left-hander was a fans’ favourite during his first stint with Essex in 2017, where he took 14 wickets in both the NatWest T20 Blast and County Championship.
Now he is back to Chelmsford for this year’s campaign where he will team up with Australian quick Adam Zampa in what McGrath believes will prove to be a feared pace attack in the shorter form.
