National Boys Under 17 Cup holders Shrewsbury School will take on a very strong Repton side in the semi-finals after both schools put in strong quarter-final displays.
Shrewsbury beat St Peter’s York by seven wickets after an impressive bowling display saw them dismiss the Yorkshire side for 127.
Ed Prideaux took 3-31 while there were two wickets apiece for Theo Wylie, Edward Clark and Will Jenkins. A fine 67 from 61 balls by Jack Robinson was the only bright note from the St Peter’s innings as only one other York batter reached double figures.
