Oxley bids for Suffolk milestone

BURY St Edmunds’ Alex Oxley will become Suffolk’s youngest debutant since the Second World War if he makes his first Minor Counties start this weekend.
Oxley, who moved from Woolpit to Bury St Edmunds after his club were relegated from the East Anglian Premier League last summer, has a top score of 82 in league cricket this season.
The 16-year-old was in line to appear for Suffolk last summer before being named as 12th man, but is set to face Northumberland on Sunday.
And Suffolk coach Andy Northcote is excited to see what the young Bury St Edmunds batsman can do.
