Down the ground: Luke Blackaby gets on the front foot to drive
MARTON captain Alex Wardell has put his side’s fine season down to an SAS-style winter training camp as the side picked up another victory against Norton.
The skipper secured his maiden century in an unbroken opening stand with Jonathan Spillane of 237 runs as the North Yorkshire & South Durham side declared without losing a single wicket.
They then ripped through Norton’s batting line-up, bowling them out for just 39 with Matthew Connolly taking 6-12.
