WITH Sir Jack Hobbs as a great uncle, Cambridge Granta’s firstteam manager Alan Hobbs has cricket in his blood.
But after seeing it all in a 50-year stint with the club, the 73-year-old reckons the current crop are among the most talented.
After captaining the first XI and turning out for the seconds and thirds during his playing days, Hobbs has been first-team manager since the inception of the East Anglian Premier League 18 years ago, while wife Linda is club scorer.
