AN ANNUAL charity cricket match to mark the memory of an avid sports fan has helped raise money for a teenager battling a serious illness. The game is held at Wearmouth cricket club each year to remember Sunderland fan George Summerside.
And this year’s earnings will go towards Natalia Rooks, 17, who has been diagnosed with an aggressive bone cancer Ewing sarcoma.
